Kalamunda Garden Festival

Sunday June 2nd from 10am to 3pm in Stirk Park, Kalamunda, WA

Dogs are not allowed in Stirk Park.

The Kalamunda Garden Festival is an exciting community event that is staged four times a year on the first Sunday of every season (autumn, winter, spring and summer).

We only accept gardening-related stalls. We’re all about celebrating gardening and presenting an enjoyable, abundant and meaningful event.

Purchase your tickets here: www.tinyurl.com/KGF-HappyGardening.

All tickets are $10 online.

Children 16 years of age and under are free.

Buying your tickets online has loads of benefits:

  • You’ll gain faster entry into the garden festival with a designated entry point for online ticket holders.
  • You’ll do into the draw to win one of our awesome mega-gardening prize packs.
  • Plus you could win a $300 gift voucher, thanks to Ellenby Tree Farm.
  • Remember, there’s no added booking fee or handling fee when booking online (we’re covering those).

Your ticket price includes access to all talks from all our guest speakers.

Our preferred option is for tickets to be purchased online (as this helps to minimise queues and congestion), however tickets will be available at the gate all day.

All tickets are $10 at the gate.

Children 16 years of age and under are free.

A big thank you to the Kalamunda Plant Company.

The Kalamunda Garden Festival was started by and is run by the Kalamunda Plant Company.

Andrew from the Kalamunda Plant Company is a horticulturist and grower. He grows all his own plants and sells them online via www.kalamundaplants.com.au.

Andrew specialises in growing medicinal and edible plants. He offers over 500 varieties of culinary herbs, medicinal plants, sacred and ritual herbs, native food plants and vegetables, many of which aren’t found in most nurseries.

The Kalamunda Plant Company are also very proud to grow the beautiful Sabrina Hahn range of plants, called Sabrina’s Selection. The range features loads of old fashioned favourites, ideal for helping to attract beneficial insects into your garden.

Andrew grows all his plants in natural, compostable coir pots. No plastic pots and no plastic plant labels are used.

FAQs

What is parking like?

There’s minimal parking at Stirk Park. Guests usually use surrounding street parking or park in the townsite then walk down (about a five minute walk). We’ll have our usual Plant Crèche in action where guests can leave their purchases, go grab their cars then load up with ease. The City of Kalamunda may have parking inspectors patrolling so please double check you’re not blocking anyone’s driveways, obstructing footpaths or parking in areas with signage stating no parking. ACROD parking is located along Headingly Road.

Do you offer a free shuttle bus?

Yes. We offer a free shuttle bus back and forth from the City of Kalamunda Administration Carpark – 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda. First bus leaves the carpark at 9:30am. Last bus leaves the garden festival at 3:15pm. Bus runs roughly every 20 minutes.

Can I take public transport to the garden festival?

Yes. Transperth buses leave every thirty minutes from the new High Wycombe Train Station. Buses that leave at 18 minutes past the hour will drop you at the event and those that leave 48 minutes past the hour will drop you on Railway Road, then there’s a five minute walk down Lindsay Street to the garden festival. If you have a SmartRider card, you’ll get free transport on Sundays. Here’s a link to the Transperth Journey Planner: https://bit.ly/KGFJourneyPlanner

Can I bring my dog?

No. The City of Kalamunda doesn’t allow dogs in Stirk Park. Our event is fenced and we can’t allow dogs into the garden festival as it breaches our event approval agreement and any future garden festivals may not be given permission to proceed in that location if we don’t adhere to the rules.

Can I use EFTPOS at the event?

Yes. EFTPOS can be used all around the event. All stalls (except for two) take EFTPOS.

What is the Plant Crèche?

We’ll have our popular Plant Crèche service available again. You can leave your purchases at the Plant Crèche and we’ll take good care of them whilst you’re looking around the garden festival and enjoying the guest speaker talks. When you’re leaving the garden festival, go grab your car then come and load up. The Plant Crèche is shown on the map and located along Headingly Road.

Who runs the Kalamunda Garden Festival?

Andrew and Mandy, a local husband and wife team, run the Kalamunda Garden Festival. The garden festival is not a City of Kalamunda event nor does it receive financial support from them.

Andrew and Mandy donate their time to run the event.

Do you have an event map?

Here’s a map of the layout. We don’t hand out paper copies at the event, so if you would like a copy, please print one prior to coming, or use your phone on the day. Large fixed printed maps are situated at each entrance, so you can view those on the day.

Do you have a list of stallholder locations?
